My Journey

I design to connect.
To mind, to body, to nature, to people, to the energy that flows through every space.
It’s my way of grounding beauty in intention, creating harmony, and feeling the profound joy of turning a vision into something tangible and alive.
I design to feel, in every space I touch.

The Story Behind Prema
Welcome to Prema Design Studio,
I believe spaces should do more than look beautiful—they should feel like an extension of who you are. By blending psychology, sustainability, and intentional design, I create environments that enhance well-being, align with your lifestyle, and nurture a deeper connection to nature.
My journey began with a love for architecture and design, refined through studies in Interior Architecture at UCLA and hands-on experience in construction through my family’s stone fabrication business. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of designing custom, highly functional spaces for both residential and commercial clients, collaborating closely with architects, builders, and artisans.
What makes my approach unique is a deep understanding of how spaces influence emotions and behavior. Drawing on principles of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), I take the time to understand your needs, preferences, and aspirations, translating them into designs that truly support your life.
Sustainability is equally at the heart of my practice. Inspired by permaculture – a philosophy rooted in harmony with nature – I integrate elements like edible gardens, natural water systems, and regenerative landscapes to create spaces that foster balance and connection.
Every project is a collaboration, where clear communication and mutual trust are key. My goal is to offer not just design, but an experience that empowers you, nurtures your vision, and creates a sanctuary for you to thrive.

Where do I even begin? Working with Yael has been nothing short of a miracle and a blessing. From our very first phone call, I knew she was the one to bring my vision for the spa to life. As I began describing my ideas, Yael gently paused and asked, “What do you want to feel when you’re in the space? And what do you want the people who come to the spa to experience?” It was in that exact moment, that I knew she was perfectly aligned with my goals, and that I didn’t have to look any further for my designer.
Throughout our collaboration, I came to see that Yael is so much more than an architectural designer. She was my creative partner, my backbone, and an incredible support system. She kept me grounded, lovingly reminding me to balance my workload and encouraging me to rest when I needed it most.
Yael fully understood my vision for the spa and poured her heart and soul into every detail, both physical and spiritual. Not a single element of the space was left untouched by her thoughtful intention. She was also incredibly mindful of the budget, helping me find truly special, curated pieces that perfectly suited Scalp Sanctuary.
I couldn’t be more satisfied or grateful to have met and worked with Yael. She is a rare gem, and I am endlessly thankful for her talent, dedication, and care. I can say that I’ve met my forever designer, and more importantly a soul sister.
